Training beauty professionals for active work across a broad range of beauty genres

Yoshida Gakuen Beauty College has two departments: the Beauty Department and Beauty Advisor Department. The Beauty Department works in educational partnership with Yamano Beauty College, a well-established school in Shibuya, Tokyo, which boasts a history of over 70 years. Our school is Hokkaido’s only institute offering the Pivot Point system, an educational program introduced at more than 2,000 beauty schools in 40 countries that allows students to learn about beauty techniques theoretically and efficiently. The Beauty Advisor Department is Hokkaido’s first one-year college course for training beauty experts. Students learn the make-up and facial treatment skills needed by beauty experts intensively and in a short time, and receive sales training as well as practical training for retail environments.

Students compete in various areas of skill to tackle the same assignments as those in the national examination for beauticians. The competitions are designed to allow students to experience the tension they would actually feel when sitting the national examination themselves, and serve as a great opportunity for them to demonstrate their abilities under the intense scrutiny of judges. By experiencing these practical environments, students acquire flexibility in showing their true abilities.
